The Department of Physics, established in 1965, is proud to be one of the earliest departments of its kind in the valley. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to imparting quality education and fostering a spirit of scientific inquiry among students.

The department is equipped with three well-maintained laboratories, including a fully functional dark room, providing students with hands-on experimental experience and practical exposure. The department is currently  staffed by the Head of the Department, Dr Waseem Bashir and two dedicated faculty members, who work collectively to ensure effective teaching and mentoring of students.

With a focus on both theoretical understanding and practical application, the department continues to nurture young minds and promote scientific temper among learners. We aim to create an environment that nurtures scientific thinking, curiosity and a deeper understanding of the physical world.
